The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced the formation of a new Healthcare Advisory Committee, comprised of industry leaders selected from more than 400 national nominations.

The committee will provide non-binding recommendations to federal leadership on improving care across Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and Marketplace programs. Key focus areas include chronic disease management, administrative burden reduction, real-time data use, support for vulnerable populations, and Medicare Advantage sustainability.

Members will serve two-year terms, with meetings open to the public. The committee is expected to play a role in shaping future policy direction as federal agencies continue efforts to modernize healthcare delivery and financing.
