    Observed each September, Sepsis Awareness Month raises awareness of sepsis as a life-threatening medical emergency resulting from the body’s response to infection. Led by Sepsis Alliance, the campaign encourages early recognition, rapid treatment, and education for both clinicians and the public. Campaign resources include downloadable graphics, educational materials, patient stories, and social media content that healthcare organizations can use to promote awareness and improve patient outcomes. 
  • Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

    Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is recognized each September to increase awareness of pediatric cancers, honor children and families affected by childhood cancer, and encourage support for research and improved treatments. The American Childhood Cancer Organization leads annual awareness campaigns centered around the Gold Ribbon symbol and provides educational resources, downloadable graphics, advocacy materials, and social media content that organizations can use throughout the month. 
  • Blood Cancer Awareness Month

    Blood Cancer Awareness Month highlights leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood cancers while promoting education, research, and patient support. The Lymphoma Research Foundation provides educational resources, patient information, advocacy opportunities, and awareness materials that healthcare organizations can use to support patients, caregivers, and community education throughout September.  
  • National Sickle Cell Awareness Month

    National Sickle Cell Awareness Month increases awareness of sickle cell disease and the challenges faced by individuals and families living with this inherited blood disorder.     World Alzheimer’s Month is observed each September to raise global awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia while challenging stigma and encouraging earlier diagnosis and support. Established by Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI), the month-long campaign brings together healthcare organizations, advocacy groups, caregivers, and policymakers to promote brain health, improve dementia care, and support individuals living with dementia and their families.     National Assisted Living Week® recognizes the residents, caregivers, families, and professionals who support assisted living communities across the country.
